The Wiltshire Business of the Year award has gone to The Field Marketing & Consultancy Group part of infinite Group – a people service company which from its HQ at South Marston in Swindon provides marketing, training and recruitment to many of the world’s best known brands.

The company received its award at the Wiltshire Business of the Year dinner at the Four Pillars Hotel at South Cerney which was attended last night by more than 250 people.

Accepting the award, infinite Groups’ Managing Director, Hugh Meredith said he was very proud to win the award. “The award confirms the company’s core objectives, deliver quality innovative service to our customers whilst developing our staff.” “This achievement is testimony to the talented and loyal workforce we have across the UK. It’s a great start to 2010.”

The Field Marketing & Consultancy Group describes itself as a leading people service company and that is exactly what the judges experienced when they visited the Swindon offices on a snowy day in January. “The enthusiasm and commitment of the staff that we met cemented an innovative and driven product that clinched this business as the overall winner” commented judge Chris Elias.

“This company has demonstrated solid growth since October 1999 and its in house developed solutions mean that this business is able to react to what is a demanding and impressive client base.”

Since its formation in 1999 The Field Marketing & Consultancy Group have grown consistently year on year and is one of the foremost names in field marketing, employing more than 230 people. For a relatively young company it has an enviable client base including many global brand leaders from a variety of sectors.

The Field Marketing & Consultancy Group providers of award winning field marketing services is pleased to announce that it has achieved the ‘Investors in People’ standard.

The successful completion of the detailed assessment process is a true reflection of the standards within the Company, the commitment levels of its staff and professionalism delivered each and every day. In just under ten years, the Company has developed into an international provider of field marketing services specialising in the grocery and FMCG sectors; many of the company’s clients are amongst the world’s best known and most revered brands.

A significant part in attaining this standard was the in-house Training Academy. This bespoke Training programme provides a comprehensive solution to all the business needs including classroom, online and client specific modules all designed to be implemented ‘on the job’.

To complement this unique approach, FM&CG has invested in a newly created & dedicated Training Centre, where staff can attend a myriad of training courses including management training, ICT skills, presentation courses and essential business skills to mention a few. The entire programme is designed to aid career progression and deliver a structured approach to training and employee performance.

The training programme also extends to aiding the local community assisting in the progression and understanding of the field marketing industry through work placements from local schools, colleges, university placements and also those with learning difficulties.

The Company employs over 250 full time and 2000 tactical staff in its many and varied projects.

“Staff training and development is core to the overall success of our business; it cements understanding, improves the company’s performance and gives us the competitive advantage in a dynamic results driven industry.” – Chris Allen (Managing Director) FM&CG
